WARRANTY & LEGAL

WARRANTY

All Eco-Sports NW Electric Skateboards and PEV's come with a standard six-month manufacturers warranty which starts when you receive the product.
If there is a problem with the product during the warranty period (not artificial damage or the product has not been dismantled and modified), our customer service team will support you in resolving the issue.

 

  • Warranty Content: ESC, MOTOR and BATTERY (water damage is out of warranty). 

  • Warranty Period: 6 months.

  • (The ESNW difference).  We will help facilitate repairs and source parts for the lifetime of your purchase.  This is NOT a lifetime warranty.  This is ESNW providing top notch customer service for the life of your purchase.

Process: If any issues occur, you will be required to cooperate with the Eco-Sports NW team in good faith and first attempt to identify and fix any problem with our instruction. Such instruction may be provided through a call-back or via email from sales@ecosportsnw.com. When submitting the request, you must provide photos, videos or any other forms of evidence for assessment of warranty claims. We cannot validate any warranty claims or provide replacement parts unless you have cooperated as per above.


Solution: Once we confirm the issue, we will do our best to solve it for you as quickly as possible. When the problem is fixed, the warranty claim is considered settled. 


General Exclusions: The following items are excluded from warranty.

  • Damage or loss sustained during shipping – we can offer shipping insurance if you wish to mitigate this risk. You must email the request to us and pay the insurance fee prior to shipment.

  • Electronic damage caused by water ingress into the board.

  • Removal or tampering of warranty stickers and water damage sticker.

  • Damage caused by accidents or collisions.

  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

  • Taking the board beyond its limitations.

  • General wear and tear such as scratches and dents sustained in the general course of riding.

  • Damage caused by jumping the PEV.

LEGAL

Section A – PHYSICAL RISKS

  • Riding a motorized skateboard is an activity with inherent and obvious risks. This means that due to the nature of the activity, the situations that you may encounter expose you to the risk of injury (minor and serious), paralysis, or death in the event of an accident. We cannot predict or control how you ride, or, predict or control the exact nature of the consequences of an accident or fall. Any fall or accident can result in serious injury, paralysis or death.

  • When you purchase a Eco-Sports NW board, you are acknowledging and agreeing that you are aware using this board for its intended purpose is risky, and that you willingly accept these risks.

  • Information on safety and risk mitigation, including wearing protective gear, are detailed below.

    • When you receive the skateboard make sure to test it for safety before riding. Particularly before riding on a setting beyond the first speed setting.

    • Before riding, always remember to inspect your board for loose connections, loose nuts, bolts or screws, tire condition, charge levels of remote and batteries, riding conditions, etc. and always wear approved protective gear.

    • Please use the original charger to charge the skateboard! If your charger is broken, please consult original factory before purchasing!

    • When charging the electric skateboard, please place it in an open area away from other objects. Don't charge overnight, and don't overcharge the skateboard.

    • When you are not using your skateboard for long periods of time ensure you charge the skateboard at least once every 1-3 months. The battery should never be allowed to drain completely.

    • Observe the laws and regulations of your country. Avoid riding in dangerous places.

Section B – LEGALITY OF USE

Laws governing the use of motorized skateboards or similar vehicles vary from country to country, city to city, district to district. It is your responsibility to check local laws around your area before using the skateboard, and to obey those laws.

Section C – ASSUMPTION OF RISK & WAIVER OF LIABILITY

  • By purchasing one or more of our electric skateboards, you acknowledge that riding the board is a dangerous activity, and you accept all the inherent and obvious risks involved with its intended use.  

  • By purchasing one or more electric skateboard, you confirm that you are of the legal age to enter into such a contract.

  • By purchasing one or more electric skateboard, you agree to release and forever discharge Eco-Sports NW, including any of our subsidiaries, contractors, employees, officers or representatives, from and against all claims, suits, demands, expenses, costs, damages or proceedings arising from any injury, death, property damage, proceeding or loss sustained by you or any third party as a result of using your electric skateboard.

  • By purchasing one or more electric skateboard, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eco-Sports NW, including any of our subsidiaries, contractors, employees, officers or representatives, from and against all claims, suits, demands, expenses, costs, damages or proceedings arising from any injury, death, property damage, proceeding or loss sustained by you or any third party as a result of using your electric skateboard.
